I am an avid outdoors-man. I believe that to have a clear mind at work, one must climb as high and run as far as their dream. I enjoy skiing, camping, backpacking, mountain-biking, bouldering, hiking, fishing, boating & cross-country skiing, and playing Ultimate Frisbee competitively. I also value my down time, but it is rarely ever empty; I love to read- my favorite author is Charles De Lint, but I enjoy reading others, too. I also love to paint, write, and play the violin as much as possible.

Press-One initially works for many newspapers throughout the country, the agents either work inbound or, most of the time, outbound calls persuading people to subscribe, re-subscribe, or to simply pay the bill. It is fast-paced and top quality customer service is a must to survive and actually make a profit through commission

The primary responsibilities of the management team is to train, develop and coach the crew, administration, audits, deposits, food orders, and keeping the store running safely, clean, and efficiently

the objective of the job was to work close with the cooks and to create an effective flow on the floor, making sure that everything is right in the customers' eyes

We primarily sold AOL Broadband and cable upgrades. The business recently closed down, but we used to feed to quest and AT&T as well.

Mission Work:
-Oregon 2001:
We cleaned up environmental space next to the Colombia river, repainted and furnished sister church building of The United Church of Christ, helped rebuilt a delinquent/run-away orphanage
-Arkansas 2002
We stayed in the town of Marvell where the poverty rate was above 60%. We re-painted a few residential homes in the community, and sponsored a Community Art Fair at the local elementary school for the children that lived in the area
-South Dakota 2003
We stayed on the Lakota Reservation in the town of Bone-steal. We rebuilt a youth center on the outskirts of town and also cleaned up their local pow-wow circle
-The Young Democrats Society 2004-2005:
Passed out fliers, persuaded students on campus to become registered voters, held meetings
